Dental Clinic
Of all the members of our family, our pets' dental care is the most neglected.
Imagine what your teeth would look like if you didn't brush them every day.
Neglecting to pay attention to dental health may have disastrous and extremely painful results.
Dental disease is an infection of the teeth, gums and surrounding structures. It starts with a build-up of plaque, leading to periodontal disease. Bacteria then enters the bloodstream.
If left untreated, dental disease will lead to more serious health issues like kidney and heart disease.
It is important to address the problem before it progresses too far. The key to managing dental disease is prevention.
Weight Loss Clinic
Obesity has emerged as the most important disease in pets today.
Pets that are overweight live significantly shorter lives than their lean counterparts.
Overweight pets develop an increased risk for many types of cancers, various life-threatening diseases and are much more prone to anaesthetic complications.
Obesity has also been linked to diseases like diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, bladder abnormalities and dermatological conditions.
Being overweight sets the stage for joint disease and osteoarthritis, leading to chronic pain.
Take the first step to helping your pet be their best selves.
Rabies Vaccination Drive
Rabies is a very serious viral disease in our country. It is a zoonotic disease that infects mammals, including humans, dogs, cats, livestock and wildlife
Dog bites are the most common cause of rabies transmission to humans. Sadly, 40% of human infections occur in children under 15 years old.
Our nurses are offering free rabies vaccinations at all three of our main branches.
Rabies cannot be cured, but it CAN be prevented.
In South Africa, pets are legally required to be vaccinated against rabies.
